Russian invasion forces have attacked Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, striking the city of Nikopol with up to 40 rockets, head of the regional administration Valentin Reznichenko said in a Telegram post on July 27.

“Nikopol was hit by two Grad (multiple-launch rocket artillery) attacks, (with the enemy) launching as many as 40 rockets,” said Reznichenko.

“A 54-year-old woman was injured in Marhanets. She’s in a hospital now. Eight apartment buildings, a hospital, and a kindergarten in the city were damaged.”

The town of Velyka Kostromka was partially left without power, as Russian shelling damaged power lines there, said Reznichenko.

Russian forces have repeatedly targeted Nikopol with artillery strikes in recent weeks.

Between July 19 and July 20, several rocket attacks hit the city, killing two people and injuring nine – including four children.

Local officials have advised locals to temporarily leave the city.
