There is a possibility that Russia will strike Ukraine again in the coming days, seeking to undermine the spirit of Ukrainians during the New Year holidays, according to the summary of the UK intelligence, published on Twitter on Dec. 31.

UK intelligenced recall that two days ago — on Dec. 29 — the Russian military carried out another wave of missile attacks on Ukraine’s energy system using long-range weapons.

UK intelligence noted that since October, Russia has been following the general pattern of launching an intense wave of strikes every seven to ten days.

Russia is almost certainly following this approach in an attempt to overwhelm Ukrainian air defenses, UK intelligence said.

“However, there is a realistic possibility that Russia will break this pattern to strike again in the coming days in an effort to undermine the morale of the Ukrainian population during the New Year holiday period,” UK intelligence added.
