One person was killed and another five injured as a result of a Russian missile attack on the city of Zaporizhzhya early on Sept. 22, Zaporizhzhya Regional Military Administration head Oleksandr Starukh said on Telegram messenger.According to the official, the Russian invaders struck a number of infrastructure facilities, and the nearby residential buildings were destroyed.

Deputy presidential chief-of-staff Kyrylo Tymoshenko said that the Russian army had launched nine missiles at the city and its surroundings. One of the missiles hit a hotel in the central park.

“There is significant destruction there, people remain under the rubble,” he wrote on Telegram messenger.

“Rescue teams are working to clear the debris and free people.”

In addition, the Russians hit an electrical substation. As a result, the southern areas of the Zaporizhzhya district were left without power. The local television broadcast tower was also hit by the missile attack.
