Russian occupation authorities are spreading rumors about forced evacuations in schools and kindergartens in the occupied town of Enerhodar, home to the occupied Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, Ukrainian nuclear operator Energoatom reported on April 16.

According to Energoatom, the evacuation will last until April 20.

"They plan to take children in the Crimea direction with the buses of the nuclear plant, trying to legalize the theft of ZNPP vehicles used to bring people to work," the company said.

Russians have started looting furniture, mattresses and other items from kindergartens, Energoatom added.

Russia is also conducting forced "medical examinations" of children in the occupied areas in order to abduct them to Russia under the pretext of “medical treatment," Ukraine’s National Resistance Center reported.

The International Criminal Court in The Hague issued an arrest warrant for Russian dictator Vladimir Putin and Russian children ombudsperson Maria Lvova-Belova on March 17. They are accused of the illegal abduction of Ukrainian children to Russia.
