Russian tactical aviation has stepped up its activity in recent days, and the probability of missile strikes on Ukraine remains, the spokesman of the Air Force Command Yuriy Ihnat said on Ukrainian national television on Dec. 1.
He called for calm and assured the public that the Armed Forces will do everything to repel missile attacks and minimize their consequences.
"Our aviation is working, pilots destroy enemy air defense systems every day and support our troops on the ground," Ihnat said.
Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy warned that Russia was preparing new missile strikes. According to him, the current week may be as difficult as the previous one.
According to Der Spiegel, increased activities continue at the Russian Engels-2 airfield in Saratov Oblast. The activity likely signals that Russia is preparing for a new mass missile strike on Ukraine.
