Russia's FSB security service has arrested Igor Kornet, the "interior minister" of the so-called "Luhansk People's Republic" (“LPR") Russian puppet authority, Ukrainian Defense Ministry's Main Intelligence Directorate reported via Telegram messenger on April 20.

The intelligence says that Kornet was being held at the FSB's detention center in Rostov-on-Don, Russia.

It is noted that his arrest had provoked a negative reaction from "law enforcement agencies" and the "political leadership" of the puppet authority, which assessed this move as the beginning of changes in its autonomous authority.

The intelligence added that "LPR" leader Leonid Pasichnyk "is making every effort to release Kornet from custody and reinstate him."
