Several settlements in Dnipropetrovsk region have been shelled overnight by Russians forces – Velyka Kostromla, Maryanske, and Zelenodolsk – damaging a power plant and setting it ablaze, the head of the regional council, Mykola Lukashuk, said in a Facebook post on April 27.

It took several hours for firefighters to extinguish the fire.

One power plant employee sustained injuries: shards of glass lacerated his face. He is being treated at a hospital.

“No homes were left without power due to the incident,” said Lukashuk.

“The rest of the oblast is quiet; there are no enemy forces in the Dnipropetrovsk oblast.”

“We’re assessing how long it will take to repair (the damage),” Vilkul said.

“An injured civilian was evacuated to a hospital in Kryvyi Rih.”
