Railway bridge collapses in Russia’s Kursk Oblast near Ukrainian border

A railway bridge collapsed in Russia’s Kursk Oblast, 25 kilometers from the Ukrainian border, regional governor Roman Starovoit reported via Telegram messenger on May 1.

“Today, at about 1120, at the 67th kilometer of the Sudzha-Sosnovyi Bor railway, a partial collapse of the bridge structures was discovered,” Starovoit wrote.

"Currently, special services are working on the spot to establish the causes of the emergency. This railway branch was used to transport freight trains. No victims are reported.”
