Russia shelled a town and a village in the Zelenodolsk district of Dnipropetrovks Oblast using multiple rocket launchers, wreaking indiscriminate destruction, head of Kryvyi Rih regional administration Oleksandr Vilkul said on April 21.
Vilkul added that there are no Russian troops near Kryvyi Rih or in Dnipropetrovsk oblast.
“Our outer defense perimeter in the south lies within Kherson Oblast – fighting is ongoing there,” said Vilkul.
“(The Russians) are relentlessly shelling liberated villages near Kherson, in addition to Zelenodolsk, near Kryvyi Rih.”
At 21:30 on April 20 Russian forces hit Zelenodolsk with multiple rocket launcher fire, before moving on to fire on the village of Velyka Kostroma.
“There are problems with the electricity supply (there); the Ukrainian armed forces and emergency services are doing their job, (and) we’re assessing the damage done,” Vilkul said.
