Russian Defense Ministry advertises positions on various job search websites, in a bid to recruit fighters and deploy them to Ukraine, Estonian-based media outlet Delfi reported on June 13.
For instance, SuperJob has ads for “recruiting professional soldiers,” in addition to snipers and medics.
Rapidly rising demand prompted SuperJob to create a separate category for these ads, which gathers up to 500 daily vacancies.
After responding to one such ad, Delfi’s journalist was invited for an interview in Russia's city Bryansk, which would have been followed by several months of training and eventual deployment.
Head of Luhansk regional administration Serhiy Hayday earlier reported that Russia is now using mercenaries from private military company Liga to infiltrate nearby Ukrainian defensive positions.
