A Russian war plane – likely a Su-34 multi-purpose fighter – crashed in occupied Crimea, Russian media outlet Baza reported on Sept. 11, citing eyewitness accounts.

According to the report, the plane crashed in the vicinity of Krasnoperekopsk, in northern Crimea, at around 06:00 a.m.

Two pilots ejected and were later picked up by Russian troops.

It’s unclear what caused the crash.
