Russian air strikes rock Avdiivka as battle for city rages

The Russian military carried out four air strikes on Avdiivka, a city in Donetsk Oblast, on March 17, President’s Office head Andriy Yermak reported on Telegram on March 17.
Fortunately, there were no reported casualties.
“The shelling of the city is underway around the clock. The battle for Avdiivka continues,” Yermak wrote on Telegram. He also published a photo of a high-rise building destroyed by the Russian attack.

The city has been the site of intense fighting for weeks, with both sides struggling for control of the area not far from Bakhmut.
According to the General Staff, Russian troops are advancing in the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, Maryinka, and Shakhtarsk directions.
Donetsk Oblast Military Administration head, Pavlo Kyrylenko, reported on the shelling of Maryinka, Kostyantynivka, and Krasnohorivka.
Russians killed at least two civilians and wounded eight others in the oblast over the last 24 hours.
