Russian invaders fired artillery and mortars at Sumy Oblast in northeastern Ukraine overnight, striking a residential house, announced the head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration Dmytro Zhyvytskyy on Telegram messenger on May 18. There were no casualties.
"Yet another restless night in Sumy Oblast. Artillery and mortar shelling on the Sumy district began in the evening from the Russian side," he wrote.
According to him, the Ukrainian military repulsed the enemy's attack, with no losses on the Ukrainian side.
Zhyvytskyy added that at 5:30 am, the Russians fired on the village of Dmytrivka in the Okhtyrka district from Russian territory.
