Dozens of families have lost their homes after several settlements in the Zaporizhzhya and Polohy districts came under Russian attack, Zaporizhzhya Regional Military Administration said in a Telegram messenger post on Aug. 16.
At the same time, no casualties have been reported yet.
Zaporizhzhya police on Aug. 15 registered 28 reports of Russian armed aggression against civilians.
The enemy shelled the towns of Orikhiv and Huliaipole both during the day and at night. In addition, the invaders once again shelled the villages of Zarichne and Tavriiske in the Zaporizhzhya District.
In total, two high-rise buildings and more than 20 private houses were destroyed. In particular, the Russian attacks caused damage to property in residential buildings, the destruction of roofs and even walls, as well as shattered windows.
Outbuildings, garages, as well as property and cars in them also suffered significant damage.
Police have started criminal proceedings upon these crimes under Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of the laws and customs of war).
