Over the past day, Russian invaders shelled Kharkiv, as well as the Kharkiv, Chuhuiv, Bohodukhiv, Krasnohrad and Loziv districts of Kharkiv Oblast. Two people died and seven more were injured, said Kharkiv Oblast head Oleh Synyehubov on June 7 on Telegram messenger.
According to Synyehubov, the Kyiv and Sloboda districts of Kharkiv city were fired upon by the Russian army using multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS). As a result, a fire broke out in a private house in the Kyiv district. Rescuers pulled out a 52-year-old man from underneath the rubble, who sustained slight injuries. Another victim of the at-tack was a 70-year-old woman, who was also injured. In total, three people suffered in-juries in Kharkiv city.
In the oblast itself, residential buildings, business facilities, and critical infrastructure were all hit by Russian shells. In the town of Derhachi, as a result of shelling, a fire broke out at a private facility. More than 20 cars were destroyed as a result of shelling in the village of Slobozhanske, Krasnohrad district. The attack also set forests and grass on fire in the region.
In the city of Derhachi, one person died, and two were injured. In the village of Chornohlazivka, Bohodukhiv district, one person died. One person was wounded in the Izyum district and another one in the village of Udy, Bogodukhovsky district.
In total, two people died and seven were injured in the past 24 hours across Kharkiv Oblast.
