Russian citizens forbidden to visit Vincennes Castle in France due to war in Ukraine

Russian citizens can no longer visit Vincennes Castle near Paris, which houses the archives of the Ministry of the Armed Forces of France, French newspaper 20minutes reported on Aug. 8.
The castle, located in the south-east of Paris, includes a centers of France’s Historical Protection Service, whose libraries and archives are available to visitors under certain conditions.
The Ministry of the Armed Forces of France said that "since the invasion of Ukraine" it had decided to "restrict access to the ministry's military premises for Russian citizens."
However, "requests regarding journalistic duties" can be made.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy called on Western countries to completely close entry to the European Union for Russian citizens.
Zelenskyy said that "the most important sanctions are the closure of borders, because the Russians are taking away someone else's land."
Zelenskyy said that the Russians had independently elected the Kremlin dictator Putin several times, and now were not fighting the consequences of his rule.
Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin announced on Aug. 8 that she wants to limit the travel of Russians to Finland and other EU countries.
“It is wrong that at a time when Russia is waging an aggressive, brutal war in Europe, Russians can live a normal life and travel around Europe for tourism,” she said.
“This is wrong.”
According to Marin, the movement of Russian citizens was discussed at EU summits all spring, but sanctions have not yet been applied to tourists.
Earlier, the Latvian Embassy in Russia said it had stopped issuing visas to Russians for an indefinite period.
Also, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Estonia reported that it was preparing EU proposals to suspend the issuing of visas to Russian citizens.
