Ukraine’s SBU security service has charged the head of Russian civil aviation agency Rosaviatsiya, Aleksandr Neradek, with facilitating Russian military logistics, SBU said in a message on its website on March 30.

According to the message, Neradek helped Russian Defense Ministry to transfer troops to the Ukrainian border and Crimea. He ordered four Russian airlines to provide their aircraft to ferry troops, weapons, and ammunition.

The SBU alleges that from September to November 2022, Neradko enabled Moscow to transfer more than 3,000 soldiers and ammunition to airports in Rostov Oblast and Crimea’s Simferopol. These forces then reportedly entered battle against Ukrainian troops in southern Ukraine.
