Collaborator Kirill Stremousov fled from Kherson to Russia just as the Armed Forces of Ukraine went on a counteroffensive in Kherson Oblast, Ukrainian activist Serhiy Sternenko reported on Aug. 30.

According to him, Stremousov is currently in the Russian city of Voronezh.

“Thanks to many caring citizens, we’ve managed to establish that yesterday and today Stremousov recorded his video messages from the Marriott Hotel located on Revolution Avenue, 38, in the city of Voronezh” Sternenko wrote on Telegram.

On Aug. 29, initial reports from Ukrainian military sources established that Ukraine had breached the first line of Russian defenses in Kherson Oblast, forcing a Donetsk puppet militia and a unit of Russian paratroopers to retreat.

The Ukrainian military’s Operational Command South stated that the Ukrainian forces had launched offensive operations in many areas in southern Ukraine. They also stressed the need for operational security and urged citizens to refrain from posting about Ukrainian troop movements on social media.
