The Russian Center ofScience and Culture in Nicosia, Cyprus caught fire on April 26, the center’s head, Alina Radchenko, told the Kremlin's TASS propaganda agency.

According to eyewitnesses, allegedly "Molotov cocktails were thrown into the building."

"There were two loud pops, the wall and roof are on fire," Radchenko said.

“People have been evacuated. Police have surrounded the building; firefighters are working at the scene.”

Propagandists later reported that the fire was extinguished and that the Cultural Center "suffered significant damage."

The Nicosia Fire Department said they were investigating the cause of the fire.

The Russian Embassy in Cyprus reported "no victims".
