Russian Defense Minister Shoigu reportedly visits occupied Donetsk Oblast
Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu has reportedly visited the temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk Oblast, according to a spokesman on Oct. 25.
“He inspected the advanced command post of the Russian military group “East” in the South Donetsk sector,” the spokesperson said.
“The group's commander, Lt. Gen. Andrey Kuzmenko, and staff officers reported on the current situation and combat operations carried out by Russian troops."
Shoigu was also said to have been briefed on efforts to supply more drones to frontline Russian troops alongside trained specialists. Shoigu’s last visit to Ukraine was said to be on Aug. 5.
