Invading Russian forces may carry out a large-scale assault in Luhansk Oblast in near future, regional governor Serhiy Hayday wrote on Telegram on Feb. 14.

"We are expecting russist [Russian fascist — ed.] large-scale attacks in Luhansk Oblast in coming days," he wrote.

He believes the Russian invaders received an order from Russian dictator Vladimir Putin to reach the official borders of Luhansk Oblast.

"They have already pulled huge personnel and equipment reserves to our region,” Hayday explained.

“As for now, they have already intensified fire both with artillery and aircrafts.”

Presidential advisor Mykhailo Podolyak has said that Russian forces have already begun a new mass offensive that Ukrainian intelligence had warned was coming.

According to Bloomberg, Putin expects the new offensive will allow him to regain the initiative in Ukraine. Putin is resolved to prosecute his war against Ukraine for many years, the publication wrote.
