Russian forces suffer heavy losses as their advance near Bakhmut is halted

Russian troops shelled Berestove, Pokrovske, and Dzvinivka near Bakhmut in Donetsk Oblast, and delivered an air strike near Pokrovske, Ukraine’s General Staff said in a Facebook post on June 30.
Two attempted Russian advances – near Klynove and Novoluhanske, as well as towards the Vuhlehirsk power plant – were repelled by Ukrainian units, who inflicting significant losses on the invaders.
Near Avdiivka, Kurakhove, Novopavlivsk, and Zaporizhzhia, Russia has delivered a series of artillery and air strikes on positions held by Ukraine’s troops.
Following an unsuccessful assault attempt near Pavlivka, Russian forces there withdrew.
