Russian hackers targeted several Italian government websites, Italian news agency ANSA reported on March 22.

The hacker group noname057(16) attacked the websites of Italy’s government, parliaments, and several ministries, replacing their content with jingoistic anti-Ukrainian messages.

The cybercriminals tied the attacks to Italy training Ukrainian troops to operate the SAMP-T air defense systems, as well as statements by Italian PM Giorgia Meloni about the lack of necessary conditions for peace talks.
