Russian invaders have damaged or destroyed over 250 cultural facilities, said Minister of Culture and Information Policy, Oleksandr Tkachenko, at a press conference on April 30, though he added that the his ministry had already begun some reconstruction efforts in liberated territories.

"We are verifying all the information on those cultural institutions that have suffered due to the war, and were destroyed,” Tkachenko said.

The minister also said that the continuation of the Great Restoration program is a priority of the Ministry of Culture, and negotiations are underway with international partners to establish a pan-European fund to resume financing for the program.
