Russian invaders launch airstrike on International Peacekeeping Center in Lviv Oblast, killing 35

Invading Russian forces launched an airstrike on the Yavoriv military training ground in Lviv Oblast early on March 13, the Lviv Regional Military and Civil Administration reported on Facebook.

UPDATE: Lviv governor Maksym Kozytskiy has published an update on casualties, saying 35 people died and more than 134 were wounded in the attack on the Peacekeeping Center.

The administration said the Russians fired eight missiles at the International Center for Peacekeeping and Security, formerly known as the Yavoriv military training ground of Ukraine's Ground Forces.

Nine servicemen were killed and 57 were wounded in the attack, Lviv Regional Military and Civil Administration Head Maksym Kozytskiy said at a briefing.

“The Russians launched at least 30 missiles from the Black Sea. Most of them were downed by Ukrainian air defense systems,” Kozytskiy said.

On Sunday, March 13, an air raid alert was triggered in Lviv from 0331 to 0633. Residents across the city reported that they had heard powerful explosions.
