Russian invading forces are preparing for street fighting in the occupied city of Kherson, advisor to the head of Kherson regional military administration Serhiy Khlan said on Ukrainian national television on July 11.

He expressed hope that Russian invaders would be defeated without a fight.

"This worries me more," he said.

"Over the past few days, I've been hearing these rising concerns about street fighting points being reinforced. And this is a great danger for civilians. I hope that the Russians will be ousted from Kherson without a fight, and they will go to the left bank of the Dnipro River. But we have to be ready for everything."
