Russian invaders shell Mykolaiv and Ochakiv, using BM-30 Smerch and Kh-35 missiles

The Ukrainian military’s Operational Command South, responsible for overseeing combat operations in country’s south and Black Sea border regions, reported that the Russian invaders shelled the southern city of Mykolaiv, and the coast in the city of Ochakiv, on the morning of Apr. 25.

Mykolaiv was shelled with BM-30 Smerch multiple launch rocket systems, hitting a residential area and wounding one person. The shelling also destroyed a grocery store, and damaged a supermarket and the surrounding residential houses.

In Ochakiv, which was shelled with Kh-35 anti-ship missiles, several private residencies also suffered damage.

“The enemy continues to use ammunition prohibited by international conventions,” Operational Command South noted.

“The headquarters (of Operational Command South) urges citizens not to approach and not touch suspicious objects - they can be deadly.”
