The Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed 83 Russian invaders, their military equipment and ammunition depots in the south over the past day, the Ukrainian military’s South Operational Command Pivden reported on Facebook on Sept. 6.

The command said Ukrainian aircraft launched 13 strikes at the Russian positions in the past day, while anti-aircraft missile units carried out 250 fire missions.

According to the command, Ukrainian troops destroyed the following in just one day:

• 83 Russian invaders;

• five tanks;

• 12 Msta-B and Msta-S howitzers;

• three Giatsint-B field guns;

• three armored vehicles;

• three ammunition depots, in Hola Prystan, Tomyna Balka and Snihurivka.

“The invaders are intensifying aerial reconnaissance to adjust their fire,” the report says.

The Ukrainian military also reported that the Russians had lost another Su-25 ground attack warplane.

“One such Orlan-10 type spy drone was shot down in Mykolayiv District. Trying to hold the lines,

the enemy once again used the tactics of air strikes toward Bilohirka, Kostromka, Sukhyi Stavok, and Bezimenne, for which he paid handsomely with a Su-25 attack aircraft, precisely landed ahead of time by our anti-aircraft missile units.”

As reported earlier, a group of invading Russian forces in the south of Ukraine has been videoed raising the white flag and surrendered.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Sept. 4 confirmed that Ukrainian defenders had liberated a settlement in Donetsk Oblast and another two in the south.

Prior to that, a photo was released of the Ukrainian flag above the hospital in the village of Vysokopillia in Kherson Oblast, which had been occupied by the Russian invaders since March 13.

Oleksiy Arestovych, the advisor of the President’s Office, confirmed on Sept. 6 that the Armed Forces of Ukraine had also liberated the village of Olhyne in Kherson Oblast.
