The main efforts of the enemy groups in the Donetsk area are focused on gradually ousting Ukrainian units on the Siversk – Fedorivka – Bakhmut line, Ukraine's General Staff said in a Facebook post on July 4.

According to the General Staff, in the Kramatorsk area, after conducting an artillery barrage, the enemy forced the Siverskyi Donets River, as well as fortifying positions near Lysychansk and Bilohorivka.

"In the Bakhmut direction, the enemy intensified shelling of the positions of our troops with barrel and rocket artillery along the contact line," reads the report.
