Russians launched missile attacks on civilian infrastructure in the city of Kharkiv overnight on July 15, the head of the Kharkiv Oblast Military Administration Oleg Synegubov said in a Telegram messenger post.

According to him, at around 3.00 a.m., two Russian missiles hit not far from an educational institution in the Kholodnohirskyi district. The blast caused damage to the facade of the institution building, shattered windows, and destroyed tram tracks opposite the educational building.

Synegubov said that another missile had hit the yard near the school in the Industrialnyi district, resulting in the building was damaged. No casualties have been reported yet.

Over the past day, the invaders also continued to shell the civilian population in the Kharkivskyi, Chuhuyivskyi, Izyumskyi and Bohoduhivskyi districts of Kharkiv Oblast. In particular, private houses and farm buildings were damaged. Fire and rescue teams extinguished fires, he said.

The governor added that a 69-year-old woman had suffered shrapnel wounds in the Chuhuyivskyi district as a result of shelling.

"Active hostilities are underway on the contact line," Synegubov said.

"In the Kharkiv area, the enemy is trying to prevent our troops from advancing toward the state border."
