Invading Russian forces launch heavy attack Mykolaiv, Odesa oblasts from Black Sea

Russians forced launched a massive missile attack on the south of Ukraine early in the morning on July 26. Russian aircraft fired at Mykolaiv and Odesa oblasts from the the Black Sea, the Odesa municipal government’s official Telegram channel reported, citing the Ukrainian military’s Operational Command South.

Over nine missiles were fired. 

In Odesa Oblast, some of the missiles hit residential houses in coastal villages, including in the popular resort town of Zatoka. The missile strike has resulted in a fire in the area. 

Rescuers are working on the ground. No casualties have been reported so far. 

In neighboring Mykolaiv Oblast, the Russian missiles struck port infrastructure. In addition, Russian invaders used an S-300 air defense system to strike at ground targets in the district surrounding Mykolaiv city from the occupied territory of Kherson Oblast, hitting a auto market and other open areas of the suburbs.
