Ukrainian paratroopers in Mykolaiv have shot down another Russian Ka-52 Alligator helicopter, the 79th Air Assault Brigade Mykolaiv reported in a Facebook post late on June 26.

In the post, the brigade noted that the modern enemy helicopter had been "landed" with the help of an Igla MANPADS, or man-portable air defense system.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as of the morning of June 27, Russia had lost 217 aircraft and 184 helicopters since the beginning of Moscow’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine on Feb. 24.
