A Russian MiG-31 fighter jet has crashed in Murmansk Oblast on April 26, according to Russian state news agency TASS.

According to Telegram channels Mash and Baza, the incident occurred near the settlement of Ryzh-Guba. Both pilots managed to eject, eventually getting their parachutes caught on trees below.

Several videos of the warplane falling out of the sky are circulating on social media.

In its report, TASS cited a statement from Russian Defense Ministry acknowledging the loss of the MiG-31.
