Local businesses in Russian-occupied Berdyansk are being coerced into signing up for supply convoys that would import goods from Russia-occupied Crimea, Zaporizhzhya’s regional administration said in a Telegram post on May 19.

“The registration allows the occupying regime to identify who’s going to be coming back loaded with cargo, and therefore ‘ripe for fleecing’.”

Berdyansk, a port city on Ukraine’s southern Black Sea coast, has been under Russian occupation since February 28, four days after the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion.
