Ukrainian air defense forces have shot down a Russian missile over Odesa Oblast that was launched from the Russian-occupied Crimea, Odesa regional military administration spokesperson Serhiy Bratchuk said in a Telegram post on June 28.
The Pivden (South) Operational Command in turn said that the Russians had made an attempt to hit the Izmail area early in the morning, but the air defense forces destroyed the missile over the sea.
"The enemy once again attacked Odesa Oblast with an Onyx cruise missile from a Bastion coastal missile complex located in the temporarily occupied Crimea," the report says.
Early on June 27, the Russian invaders used Tu-22M strategic bombers to fire cruise missiles at Odesa Oblast.
Six people were injured in that attack.
