Recent Ukrainian battlefield victories are prompting Russia-appointed “officials” in occupied Crimea and southern Ukraine to urgently relocate their families to Russia proper, Ukrainian military intelligence said in a message on its website Sept. 13.

According to the report, these “government officials,” FSB operatives, and some Russian military commanders are looking to sell their homes in occupied Ukrainian territories, despite ostensibly claiming confidence in the continued Russian military occupation of Ukraine’s Crimea.

At the same time, the occupation regime has restricted real estate transactions and civilian movement across the Kerch Bridge, which connects Ukraine’s Crimea and Russia. The message also said news of the recent successful Ukrainian counter-offensives in Kharkiv and Kherson oblasts is being suppressed.
