Russian propagandists are spreading fake information about the number of casualties suffered by the Ukrainian army, the Center for Counteracting Disinformation of Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council said on July 11.

“The Russian media spread the statement by the RaHDIt hacker group regarding the losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces during the hostilities,” the center wrote in a Telegram message.

According to the center, propagandists are spreading a fake story about "a member of the Russian hacker association, on condition of anonymity,” who said that today the losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine allegedly "are at least 50,000-70,000 killed."

On July 10, the center reported that the Russian authorities hadn’t announced a mobilization, but continued to recruit contract servicemen in large numbers.

More than 22,000 vacancies for military personnel to serve in the military under contract have been posted in regional employment centers around Russia.
