A Russian combat reconnaissance squad attempted to infiltrate the rear of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast from Kherson, unsuccessfully, head of the Kryvyi Rih administration Oleksandr Vilkul said in a video on June 1.
“Near the village of Dobryanka – in Kherson oblast, but close to the boundary of Kryvyi Rih district – an enemy reconnaissance squad attempted a breakthrough behind our lines,” said Vilkul.
According to Vilkul, the attempt was foiled, and the enemy had to fall back to their previous positions.
Earlier, Ukrainian media reported that as many as 20 settlements in Kherson oblast have been liberated from Russian occupation. Ukraine has been maintaining two counter-offensives in both Kherson and Kharkiv Oblasts, relieving pressure at the Battle for Donbas.
