A Russian unit operating in Luhansk Oblast has not been paid by their superiors, due to their contracts expiring, Ukraine’s General Staff revealed in a Facebook post on Feb. 2.

Reportedly, despite the contract’s expiration, the Russian soldiers are unable to discharge their service due to Russia’s mobilization drive, which forbids resignation. This has affected around 300 service members, the General Staff claimed.
