Residential and hospital buildings in central Kherson were damaged by shelling during the night of March 23, the Kherson Oblast Military Administration (OVA) reported on Telegram on March 23.

Russian invaders attacked the Korabelnyi district of the city, the report said.

Residential buildings of local residents were hit by shrapnel.

A video of the aftermath was shared by OVA head Oleksandr Prokudin.

He added that enemy shells hit one Kherson hospital, while a civilian car also destroyed.

The right bank of Kherson Oblast, including the city of Kherson and other settlements, are being systematically shelled by Russian troops. Enemy shells regularly target and destroy civilians and civilian infrastructure in the region.

Ukrainian Defense Forces are attempting to push the Russian occupation army back at least 20 km from the water line in the Kherson region to reduce the number of shellings, said Ukrainian military’s South Operational Command spokesperson, Natalia Humeniuk, on Ukrainian national television on March 12.

The left bank of the region remains under temporary occupation.
