Russian troops are trying to improve their tactical situation in the Izyum area and resume the offensive on the city of Slovyansk in Donetsk Oblast, reported Ukraine’s General Staff on Facebook on May 26.

Slovyansk has previously been sieged by Russian forces in 2014.

On the Slobozhanskyi axis, the Russian invaders are systematically firing on concentrations of Ukrainian troops.

Russian troops also fired on civilian infrastructure near the settlements of Ternove and Cherkaski Tyshky.

The invaders fired artillery, MLRS, mortars, and tanks at the settlements of Chepil, Dovhenke, Kurulka, Bohorodychne and Studenya.
