Invading Russian forces are trying to prevent the Ukrainian troops from conducting counteroffensive actions in Kherson and Mykolaiv oblasts, Ukraine's General Staff said in a Facebook post on June 28.

In particular, in the South Buh area, the enemy is focusing its main efforts on maintaining its previously occupied positions.

The Ukrainian military said that in order to prevent the regrouping of Ukrainian units, the invaders shelled them with artillery and rocket-propelled grenade launchers. In addition, the enemy launched a missile strike near the village of Potiomkine.

The General Staff added that in the northwestern part of the Black Sea, the Black Sea Fleet's naval group continues to block naval communications and reconnaissance.

"Two carriers of the Kalibr-type naval-based cruise missiles are ready to launch missiles in the Black Sea," reads the report.
