Russian occupying forces regularly incinerate the bodies of killed soldiers in Kherson to hide the real number of casualties, Ukraine’s Defense Ministry’s Main Intelligence Directorate reported on July 7.

According to intelligence, places with a large number of charred remains of people were repeatedly noticed on the outskirts of the southern Ukrainian city. Precise identification of the bodies is complicated by significant fire damage.

"These corpses are brought by trucks from the local pre-trial detention centre," the intelligence report reads.

“To hide the facts of deliberate burning of bodies, representatives of the occupying army try to pass it off as the consequences of artillery fire and subsequent combustion,” the intelligence said.

As an example, Ukrainian special forces talked about a powerful explosion heard at the scene of such mass burning. A fire broke out after the blast. The occupiers restricted the access of State Emergency Service workers who came to extinguish the fire.
