Russian invading forces attacked Mykolaiv using Smerch heavy multiple rocket launch systems, injuring three people, including a 13-year-old girl, head of Mykolaiv regional military administration Vitaliy Kim said on Aug 10.

Residential buildings were damaged as a result of the attack. The rockets – a larger version of the commonly used Russian Grad rockets – also hit the territory of an enterprise, warehouses and a car parking area.

Kim added that details of the attack are being finalized.

Mayor of Mykolaiv Oleksandr Senkevych reported on Telegram that eight residential buildings had been damaged. Windows, doors, roofs and facades were shattered in seven of them, he said.

In another one, a fire broke out as a result of a rocket hit. The fire destroyed the roof, ceiling and insulation of the building. The fire was extinguished by rescuers of the State Emergency Service.

Another four residential buildings were left without electricity due to the attack, Senkevych said.
