Russian troops fired over 50 shells at the Nikopol district of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast on the night of Dec. 13, significantly damaging the residential sector in Nikopol, the head of the local administration reported on Dec. 13.

Valentyn Reznichenko, head of the Dnipropetrovsk regional military administration, wrote on Telegram that Russian invasion forces had shelled three communities – Nikopol, Chervonohryhorivka and Marhanets – using Grad rockets and heavy artillery.

About ten high-rise and private buildings, farm buildings, administrative buildings, a shop and power lines were damaged in Nikopol, Reznichenko said.

The shelling caused a fire, which has already been extinguished, he added.

More than ten private houses and farm buildings were damaged in the Chervonohryhorivka community, as well as power lines. One of the shells destroyed a garage and a car.

According to preliminary reports, there were no casualties or injuries from the Russian shelling.

Russian forces shell populated areas of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast almost every day, most often using Grad anti-personnel rockets and heavy artillery.

The enemy also recently used kamikaze drones to attack the region. In the latest attack on Dec. 7, all eight enemy attack drones were shot down.
