The section of the front line near the Luhansk Oblast town of Kreminna is still seeing the heaviest attacks by Russian invasion forces in the region, Luhansk governor Serhiy Hayday reported on Telegram on Feb. 18.

Three settlements in the region — Novoselivske, Makiyivka and Kuzemivka — have been completely destroyed by Russian shelling, Hayday said.

He said no significant enemy advances had been recorded, but the number of attacks and intensity of Russian shelling had increased.

Also, on the Kreminna section of the front, the Russians have brought in a powerful electronic warfare system that makes it difficult for quadcopters and drones to operate effectively, Hayday said.

Meanwhile, the Ukrainian military’s General Staff said Russian invasion forces are focusing their main efforts on conducting offensive actions at the Kupyansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiyivka and Shakhtarsk areas of the front.

Over the last day, Russian occupation forces launched 10 missile and 29 air strikes on the territory of Ukraine. They also fired 69 times from multiple launch rocket systems.
