A supporter of the Kremlin regime who in 2014 participated in an attempt to seize power in the region by force has been detained during a counter-subversive operation, Ukraine’s SBU security service reported on Dec. 20.
“It was he who in 2014 raised the Russian flag near the building of the Kharkiv City Council and called for an assault on the institution,” the SBU said.

“In addition, he spoke before the cameras of Moscow propagandists, where he campaigned for a change in Ukraine’s borders and the capture of state bodies. Most such broadcasts were filmed with his participation by representatives of the Kremlin TV channel Russia 1.”

When the Russian Federation’s attempts to destabilize the situation in order to overthrow the Ukrainian government in Kharkiv Oblast failed, the henchman of the occupiers decided to “lie low,” hiding from justice for more than eight years.
According to Part 1 of Art. 110 (encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine), he faces from three to five years of imprisonment if found guilty.
