Roman Dudin, who led the Kharkiv branch of Ukraine’s SBU security service until late May, has been detained in western Ukraine, Ukrainian broadcaster Suspilne reported on Sept. 11, citing law enforcement sources.

The report suggests Dudin is under investigation for treason and dereliction of duty.

Suspilne could not get an official comment on the matter from the State Bureau of Investigations. Dudin also remain unable to be reached.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy fired Dudin from his post on May 29.
