Ukraine’s SBU security service agents found pro-Kremlin propaganda literature, leaflets of banned political parties, and Russian symbols during raids of premises of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate (UOC-MP), the agency reported on Jan. 6.
Investigative raids were conducted in Kherson, Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk, and Rivne oblasts, the SBU said.

In particular, the agents discovered warehouses with the property of invading Russian groups on the territory of St. John of Kronstadt Church in Kherson Oblast.

“It was established that the invaders had arranged them (warehouses) with the assistance of the church’s head, Archpriest Anatoliy Korniev,” the SBU said.
“He established contact with the leadership of the occupying administration and was in direct contact with representatives of the FSB (Russian security service). During the liberation of Kherson, the cleric fled with his Russian ‘supervisors’ to the left bank of the Dnipro River.”
During searches in the premises of a monastery in Rivne Oblast, the SBU found propaganda materials of Viktor Medvedchuk, a Ukrainian MP and member of the outlawed Opposition Platform – For Life Party, who was recently exchanged for Ukrainian prisoners of war, including the commanders of the troops defending Azovstal in Mariupol.
In addition, the SBU officers seized a batch of leaflets of the Opposition Platform – For Life Party and other anti-Ukrainian materials from a car as it attempted to leave the territory of a church in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.
