There was Serbian military cargo on board the An-12 cargo plane, belonging to Ukrainian cargo operator Meridian, which crashed in Greece, said Serbian Defense Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic during a briefing on July 17.

“The plane was carrying 11.5 tons of products from our defense industry, the buyer was the Ministry of Defense of Bangladesh,” he said, specifying that the cargo contained tracing and training ammunition for mortars.

The An-12, flying from Serbia to Bangladesh via Jordan, crashed in a field near the village of Paleochori in the Greek municipality of Pangai.
